INS Delhi and INS Mysore are two of the new Delhi Class destroyers (Type P15), with one more of the class INS Mumbai commissioned just now on 22nd January 2001. After the commissioning of INS Mumbai it is now said that an advance class of these destroyers (Type 15A) "Bangalore Class" Destroyers will be build in Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai. They will be more powerful than the present Delhi Class Destroyers and can contain VLS launchers for Dhanush (Bow) Class of Ballistic Missiles or Uran Class of AShM, and Trishul (Trident) Class of SAMs. They also could Carry Two Advance Light Helicopters.
